On Tuesday, March 24th the Massachusetts government instituted a two-week “Stay at Home Advisory” which resulted in the shutdown of non-essential businesses. Precision Optics is classified as an essential business because we design and manufacture medical devices as well as optics utilized by the defense industry.
We continue to follow the guidelines provided by the CDC and all personnel who are able to work remotely are doing so. Also, we have split shifts within all company departments allowing time for cleaning between shifts. Currently, we have full capacity within our engineering and manufacturing departments. As always, we are constantly making improvements to safety measures.
We have seen some limited impacts from our suppliers and we are reaching out to those customers specifically affected by delays. POC is committed to accommodating your needs as best we can, and we are available to work with you in the coming weeks. We will continue to update you and other customers as the situation moves forward.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
